Algae grow in Georgia’s lake, causing environmental issues

The state of Georgia is seeing an increase in algae blooms.

The blooms are happening because of the state’s algae farms.

The state is looking at algae farms, algae farming permits and algae regulations to address the blooms and save the environment.

But now a state senator is asking if they should be allowed in Georgia.

Senator John Barrowman wants to prohibit algae farms from taking up the entire state’s lakes.

He’s introduced a bill that would ban algae farms in the state.

This is not a bill about protecting the environment, it’s a bill to protect the fish and other wildlife and to prevent algae blooming, Barrowson told WSB-TV.

Barrowman is pushing the bill through the Georgia Senate.
